On November 1st I moved back to Minneapolis, MN. No more Los Angeles traffic for me! I'm all settled into my new apartment by Lake Harriet.

I rented a 24' truck and an auto trailer to put my Jeep on. My friend Robert and I drove the 2,300 miles in 3 days. It's nice to be back in the Midwest. I'm looking forward to the first snowfall.

MEDICAL UPDATE FOR JOE KRAL::

Hi. I just wanted to give everyone an update on my health. Last Wednesday I went to the ER for severe pain to my side and back. I soon found out that I had massive internal bleeding of the left kidney. I was in the hospital for a week and had surgery and 4 blood transfusions. I'm out of the hospital now and on bedrest. I am doing much better but I still have a way to go to get back on my feet. The only really bad thing is that I don't have health insurance...

And I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that sent me get well messages!! It was very nice to hear from all of my good friends, old friends, and soon-to-be new friends that I have never met. Thank you! Thank you! It means alot to me.

The Skate Or Die skateboard show at New Image Art Gallery opens on Saturday, July 30th, 2005 7-10PM.

This a group show that I put together. I invited fifty artists to create original artwork on blank skateboards, the only rule being that the artwork must have a skull in it.

All of the skateboards are for sale via a silent auction and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Faribault Skatepark Association, which is in the process of building a skatepark in my hometown, Faribault, MN. A limited edition 32-page catalog will be available at the opening reception. Skate Or Die!

New news! I packed up all my belongings and moved out to Los Angeles a couple weeks ago. Jessey and I took a nice road trip from Pittsburgh, PA to Los Angeles, CA (2,500 miles). I'm living in a nice lil' guest house in Venice now, 4 blocks from the beach and lovin' it. Still in the process of unpacking all my books and whatnot.

I only update my news on the 29th of every other month. Or so it seems. I've uploaded photos of several rare books and magazines from my collection. These are on the site as a resource for other book nerds & designers. I also updated the Art & Photography sections. Enjoy.
